What we stand for

Vision & Mission

Skills that lead to self-reliance, creativity that lasts a lifetime, and a community that grows together.

A place where learning feels personal, purposeful and lasting.

Vision

B.P. Jain Skill Development Centre is a vibrant learning space dedicated to building practical skills, creativity and confidence. Since 1991, the Centre has created opportunities for learners of all ages to discover their interests, develop new abilities and prepare for a more confident future.

Mission

With a diverse range of courses spanning art, craft, music, dance, fitness, technology, academics and vocational skills, there is something for every learner — from age 4 to 80 and beyond.

The Centre continues to grow with its community, creating an environment where learning is accessible, engaging and meaningful. Whether you are discovering a new passion or developing a skill for life, your journey begins here.

Our promise to every student

You will not spend your first class only watching.

You will begin making, practising, performing or solving from day one. That belief shapes the Centre’s teaching style across art, craft, music, dance, fitness, language, maths and every other course we offer.

How we work

Three principles shape the experience in every classroom

From enrolment to instruction to student outcomes, these principles guide how we design learning at the Centre.

Hands first, theory second
01

Hands first, theory second

Learners understand faster when they begin by doing. We introduce the exercise first, then use theory to deepen what they have already experienced.

What this looks like

A painting student begins with line, colour and surface work in the first sitting instead of spending weeks only on explanation.

Small batches, real attention
02

Small batches, real attention

An instructor should know every student by name, notice where they struggle, and be available with focused guidance when it matters most.

What this looks like

That is why students receive corrections, encouragement and practice feedback that large classrooms rarely make possible.

Standards that travel
03

Standards that travel

Whether a student performs on stage, appears for an exam, joins a competition or begins selling their work, their training should stand up with confidence.

What this looks like

Our affiliated Kathak and Abacus pathways formalise that standard, and the same seriousness carries across every other course.

Who this mission serves

Built for different lives, not just one kind of learner

The Centre works because its philosophy is broad enough to welcome many kinds of learners, while staying personal in how each one is taught.

Parents

A safe, disciplined space where children learn by doing and grow in confidence.

Students

Courses that sharpen creativity, focus, performance and practical ability beyond the classroom.

Homemakers

A place to explore personal creativity, restart learning, or build income-generating skills.

Working Adults

Structured learning that fits around busy schedules while still feeling purposeful and high-quality.

Senior Citizens

Gentle, welcoming classes that encourage engagement, creativity and social connection.

Aspiring Performers

Training that supports examinations, stage presence, competitions and public presentation.

What we stand for

The values behind the teaching

These values show up in how we teach, how we speak to learners, how we set standards and how we define success.

Service before profit

The Centre was founded as a voluntary community effort and continues to operate in that spirit.

Learn by doing

Theory supports practice. It never replaces the experience of actually making, performing or solving.

Open to everyone

No age barrier, no background barrier and no culture of making beginners feel out of place.

Quality without shortcuts

Small batches, honest feedback and steady progression matter more than scale for its own sake.

Respect in the room

Beginners are treated with patience and advanced learners with seriousness, never ego.

Skills that continue outward

Our best outcomes are the learners who go on to teach, perform, build work and inspire others.

The mission in action

What it looks like when it works

Every piece below was made by a student who walked in not knowing how. That is the mission made visible.

Recognised beyond Rohtak

Affiliations that strengthen student pathways

These recognised partnerships matter because they give students structured progression, examination pathways and external validation of the quality being built inside the Centre.
